I love the way the characters were written and the beautiful imagery that was used. The story is engaging and the characters feel like real people, not just ink on pages. I highly recommend this book to anyone who enjoys a good fantasy adventure!

The Ajoiner Realm: Defenders of Radiance is a quick flip, captivating book for those who love a story that is based on the war between Light and Darkness.

Rebekah Carroll creates a beautiful dark world, using amazing imagery to describe the war between the vile monsters who are the Darkness, and General Warren Northwright, who is on a mission to his homeland: Fortitude.

The Ajoiner Realm: Defenders of Radiance is a 10 out of 10 must read - I couldn't put it down!

The genre and style of this book reminds me of Brandon Sanderson's books, in that it is written in third person and switches perspectives between five different characters. It is full of action, and many of the scenes I could picture being in a movie. There is a bit of romance included, and a whole lot of action and sass (from one character in particular). There were some errors in my copy of the book, but that was partly because I received an advanced copy (in return for writing an honest review). Give it a read!

I loved this story, the characters and the world created by Rebekah. The first part of the book was so compelling and engaging it pulled me right it. I was not quite as fond of the later half of the book, but for sure worth the read and your time. I recommend this book for anyone who enjoys a good fantasy adventure with a warm hearted touch.

Mrs. Carroll has created a masterpiece, pure and simple. Her biography says that she spent six years honing her skills as a writer and it shows in her book. Mrs. Carroll has done a remarkable job creating imperfect protagonists that you follow through relatable character arcs which draws the reader into her world. I love a good fantasy story, but Mrs. Carroll took her work a step further. She uses vivid imagery to bring the monsters and darkness in her book to life. Even from the first page, I could feel the strain of the different heroes as they battle the darkness both around them and within. I believe this is Mrs. Carroll's first publication but I can say with confidence that this will not be her last. Readers who are looking to step into their next great fantasy world have found the door. I highly recommend this book and I look forward to seeing what Mrs. Carroll does in the future.

The Ajoiner Realm is a great debut novel. Each character is unique, and I enjoyed getting to know each of them. I liked how a taste of the backstory is revealed and how it changed the main character, Warren. The characters also have a fun dynamic, revealing different traits and their level of trust between each other. So often, I feel like we know more about a character by the way they work with others, and it's true for this book. I was vested in each character, hoping they'd survive their terrible ordeals.

The monsters are another unique and exciting element in The Ajoiner Realm. Fantasy loves monsters and swords - this one has both in spades. There are so many new creatures (pretty much hideous and scary) who challenge the heroes in their quest to save their land from the impending darkness, a palpable evil force. As they keep trying to reach the Beacon, their hope to save the land, more and more challenges stack upon one another.

The Ajoiner Realm reminds me of classic fantasy writers like Lloyd Alexander and Susan Cooper but written in multiple point of view characters, providing an engaging read. I recommend you pick this one up and try it for yourself! Happy reading!

This book is a great way for all ages to get into Epic Fantasy reading. I highly recommend it, and I can’t wait to find out where this group of heroes is lead next.

The book has a good plot and character development. Overall the pace of the plot moves along well and is an easy read as it is not a really long novel.

The only comment without trying to give away too much of the plot, is the author develops a sub plot that actually takes up most of the book, so by the time you get back to the main plot it seems a little bit rushed. But this is a minor criticism. It is a good start in what looks to be a promising series and I definitely recommend it.
